Robots & Demonstrators

The demonstrators are designed such that they are easy to handle in a laboratory environment, but show specific practically relevant control problem(s) in order to investigate suitable control architectures and to benchmark the principles. This gives us valuable input for maturing our methods and tools for industrial applicability.
For detailed information on our platforms see Demonstrators.

Autonomous mobile robots act as demonstrational platforms both for student education and for our research work. Different types of mobile robots have been built to investigate architectural and control issues in practice as well as to teach undergraduate and graduate students in interdisciplinary and mechatronic systems design. The robots offer a wide variety in their complexity in order to start the investigations on simple machines and to use more complex systems in order to study the generalization. They differ also in their application in order to address interdisciplinary systems design.
For detailed information on our current robot platforms see Robots. The category finished Robots shows a list of older robots that are not used for our current research can be found.
